An HR system manages employment: contracts, payroll, leave. A single faculty tool covers one part of the academic side: workload, or reviews, or recruitment.

The Faculty Lifecycle covers the academic operation of faculty end-to-end on one record: recruitment, appointment, workload, teaching, research, development, review, promotion, retention and exit. It governs the academic decisions HR is not built to make.

Does it handle promotion and tenure (RPT)?

Yes. The lifecycle treats RPT as a structured case on the faculty record. Publications, teaching feedback, service and external letters are assembled into a dossier the faculty member reviews before it proceeds.
